June & July Updates
June was all about getting water and gas hooked up. The snow melting up north caused the water table to rise which meant a ban on digging by the levees. After some patient waiting, Concordia was able to get Sewage and Water Board out to Miel!
Getting water and gas was HUGE and it meant that we could actually wrap up construction and prepare for the Health Inspection in July. Thankfully the whole crew was quick to get it done and on Thursday, July 5th we were officially given the seal of approval by the Health Inspector!
This was another huge milestone and meant to we could apply for our Occupational License and Alcohol Permit at City Hall. Alex made sure we did our homework, filled out all the paperwork, and brought everything needed to put in the application. The visit was quick and painless.
Since then, Alex and I have started tackling everything on our to do list. Like getting our friend Blake to install our security cameras and fixing some plumbing issues in the courtyard all while our pup, Riggs, supervised. We haven't even made a dent on this list, but we're thankful for all our friends who have come to help.
NEXT UP: We are still waiting to get our city licensing approved, but when our permits are issued, we have to go to the Louisiana ATC to get our final permit: the Manufacturing Brewery License. After that, we can legally brew!
