The Home Stretch
We are so excited to finally start getting the word out about Miel Brewery & Taproom! But first, lets get to the point. We get a lot of the same questions, and we want to let everyone know what the deal is. Here is a list of our FAQ & their answers:
1. When will you be open?
We are hoping to open in May 2018. Your best bet is to follow us on social media or sign up for our newsletter to find out more details as we get closer.
2. What kind of beer are you going to serve?
We will be serving craft beer made exclusively at Miel Brewery & Taproom. Since our brewhouse allows us to be flexible, we will be exploring many different classic and experimental styles. This includes Hazy New England IPAs, German Doppelbocks, Belgian Tripels, Blonde Lagers and everything in between. The plan is to use as many local ingredients as possible and always have something new for you to try.
3. Where are you located?
Miel Brewery & Taproom is located on Sixth Street and Tchoupitoulas Street in the Irish Channel neighborhood of New Orleans. Its a big, blue warehouse building with a big, open courtyard - you can't miss it.
4. Will there be food?
No food, but we plan to invite food trucks to come hang with us by our outdoor area!
It's been more than a year (what?!) since we began working on making a brewery of our own a reality. We're happy to be in the home stretch! We couldn't have come this far without the help of our families, friends, the entire planning/construction crew, and our Irish Channel neighbors. Alex and I (btw this is Jmo typing) are incredibly lucky to have so much support during these crazy times. Our plan is to post bi-weekly about what's happened during our year long silence and lead-up to our opening.
We knew in November 2016 there was no stopping Miel Brewery & Taproom from happening. Our first step was finding the right place. We knew it had to be in NOLA and it had to have an outdoor space so...ENTER SIXTH STREET!
