We are looking for a part-time Brewer’s Assistant as we ramp up production and expand our quality control processes. If you are great at working with a small team, innovative, and love learning about beer, then this position might be for you! This is a part-time position with potential growth into a full-time position.
Compensation is based on previous experience and may include eligibility for healthcare and PTO. Tasks include:

Cleaning, sanitation, and organization of fermenters and brewery facility

Assisting brewer with wort production on a Craft Kettle 10 BBL 2 vessel brewhouse

Assisting in operation and maintenance of a Wild Goose Evolution 1 head canning line

Assisting in kegging beer and organizing the walk-in storage cooler
-
Cleaning kegs on a Premier 2 head semi-automatic keg washer

Performing preventative maintenance on: pumps, canning line, air compressor, brewhouse, glycol condenser, and electric forklift

Working with and reporting directly to the brewer

Following standard operating procedures while maintaining a safe environment

Helping make better beer through sensory training and hands-on education

Working closely with the brewer, trying new beer, and having fun!
Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of brewing processes, equipment, cellaring, sanitation, and packaging/ or just an enthusiasm to learn

Basic knowledge of beer styles

Basic computer knowledge pertaining to Gmail, Excel, Google Sheets, and Slack
-
Strong work ethic and passion for learning about equipment and beer

Ability to work as a team member as well as autonomously

Maintain OSHA requirements on safety and standard operational procedures

Ability to lift 55+ lbs repeatedly and be on your feet for extended periods
Previous experience in a brewing facility is not required, but any experience with the following would be seen as an asset:

Previous experience with mechanical equipment maintenance

Previous experience with facility management
-
Previous experience with equipment manufactured by Wild Goose, G&D, Premier, and Craft Kettle

Previous experience with basic plumbing, electrical, or fabrication

Forklift certification
-
Basic safety training
